All of the military and police training in his life couldn't prepare him for what just happened.
Diesel went out of control. A herd of wild Pokemon were on the rampage just outside of the academy's main campus, and as a trainer and security officer, he couldn't allow the enraged horde of Mightyena run onto campus. The Pokemon was known for it's violent nature, and among all things, were pack hunters and could over whelm a trainer if they weren't careful. The battle started out simple. It was Pilot and Auxru using their basic routine. Pilot would paralyze a Mightyena or two and Auxru would use Aura Sphere on them, knocking them out or chasing them away from a safe distance. Granite held Daxton's back and kept an eye out for any Pokemon that would try and run to the other side and get him from behind. But it was when another pack came into the picture was when Diesel came out of his ball. An angry flash cannon and a powerful cry from the Pokemon stunned and did some serious harm to the wild Pokemon, as well as Auxru.
The Lucario saw no point in the senseless destruction being caused by Diesel and had gotten in front of him, attempting to use Close Combat and knock the Registeel back. But before Auxru could strike, Diesel clawed out and struck Auxru on the back and chest, knocking him to the ground. A cry of pain came from Auxru and that's where Daxton drew the line. The officer never thought that Diesel would lash out at it's own team-mate... it had to have felt threatened when Auxru tried to attack him and stop his defensive attacking on the Mightyena. Returning all but one Pokemon to their respectful Poke-balls. Worried, Daxton took his shirt off and ran to the Lucario's side heaving him into his arms. The injuries weren't visible which meant they were internal, and Auxru was in a lot of pain, given away by his cries and the fact that he was swatted by a pure-Steel Legendary.
Daxton nearly ran through the sliding doors of the Poke-center with sweat pouring down his body. The run felt like it took forever, with Auxru's weakening cries and the tiring strain put on his body by having to carry him and run up an down hills. "Somebody help!" He cried out, still holding the beaten and wounded Lucario in his arms. Daxton was to frightened to put Lucario in his ball, if he was in the ball, he couldn't watch his condition and that would just make things worse on him... but right now, time began to stand still for the ex-soldier. The shallow breaths that came from his child-hood friend brought tears to his eyes, but he still held back the tears so he could stay strong for his Pokemon, although Auxru could probably feel how his master felt.
