His gaze slipped absently to the girl in the short skirt, and though his expression didn't show it - there was perhaps a hint of relief filtering through him. While there were cons to this situation, such as having a partner that clearly didn't even have enough common sense to wear clothes that would keep her warm when the curriculum made it clear that outdoors was the primary place that these classes would take place, the one major pro that he could of was that this change in plans meant that he wouldn't be stuck working with the teacher. Not that Drescher was all that bad really...but he didn't want anyone insinuating things simply because the teacher seemed to think it was a good idea that he be kept an eye on.
"Welp. C'mon then. Why don't we go sit over there so we can just get this over with?" He said, tossing a glance over his shoulder to the girl named Brooke as they headed outside. The spot he'd chosen was just any old spot...though there was a bit more shade as - cold or no - the sun's glare could still be considered bright, even behind gray. And Titan...well he was not a creature who enjoyed bright lights. In fact, he was pretty sure the gligar was wishing that he'd been able to stay inside with that creepy blond kid and the weird Asian guy that seemed to actually /like/ the little shit.
He plopped down unceremoniously, unloading his backpack and rifling through it to pull out his notepad and writing implement. Amaryllis didn't curl up in Sinclair's lap, like she was normally prone to do, and instead chose to settle by his side - her tail restlessly flicking from side to side. Titan, in the meanwhile, huddled back a ways - staying as much in the shade as possible, his eyes at a subtle squint to convey his displeasure at being forced to 'socialize' with unknown pokemon. "So, which pokemon do you wanna 'observe' anyway." He said somewhat gruffly, his expression already shifting into one of concentration as his gaze settled on the girl's team - taking some time to decide which one he felt like studying. Sinclair's mind did, of course, drift back to the other assignment he had yet to finish...but he forced himself to push it back so he could concentrate on this assignment. He'd promised himself he'd try at this school...so try was what he was going to do. It was just hard to concentrate when his hands were so still - so as he waited, he picked up the puzzle that he'd pocketed earlier and began to work at it again, eyes not even focused on the thing as he turned and clicked things into place.
