BRIEF HISTORY -
Ethan is one of eight children, born to a boisterous family that - though he adores them - he'd always felt just a bit apart from. After all, his parents were known pokemon trainers, his brothers and sisters as well, and yet when it came to Ethan...he failed to show a talent in this particular aspect of things. Oh, Ethan had a way with pokemon, of course he did. It was just battling was something that wasn't in him. And though no one looked down upon him for it, Ethan always felt there was something just a bit lacking. Because of this, he was a troubled youth. Always getting into fights, chasing people away before they could get too close and discover his 'flaws'.
Of course, this didn't always work - some people it seemed appeared to like this attitude in him. Were drawn to it. And as a result, Ethan had several tempestuous relationships that left him with a bit of a bad taste in his mouth and even more convinced he was seriously screwed up. By the time college years came, Ethan chose to devote himself to studies - and decided that since he wasn't any good at training for battle, he'd train to heal instead. He went to nursing school first and worked for a year or so in a clinic as a simple technician. Once he graduated, he continued to work at the clinic as a nurse...all the while continuing his studies towards his doctorate.
Ethan was actually quite content to stay at that clinic as it kept him close to him, and close to his family if they needed him - which they often did as it seemed that everyone else but him had the sort of busy life that required someone to watch children, or help out in some other way. Ethan didn't mind. Certainly he wasn't the most social of people, but he'd never been one to say no to family. It wasn't until his 27th birthday that he received a letter requesting his presence at the Master's Academy that he ever even thought of leaving the rural town he'd grown up in, and it took him a good five months to decide...but once he did, he never regretted it as the work was satisfying - even if it did mean he had to deal with people. And students.

Dulce - Playful and sweet, she tends to be oddly motherly towards Ethan, despite their obvious differences. She likes to groom him, and tuck herself into his lab coat pockets and likes to take care of him by hiding food away for later in his shoes, drawers and other places that will likely cause a nuisance as none of the things she hides (for Ethan anyway) tend to be dry.
Violet - Independent, but still affectionate, this is one lazy feline. She likes to curl up on cushions or in a lap and gets pets, but the moment she's finished receiving them, she will make sure you are aware of it with a gentle swat. She tends to stick close to Ethan, as he's her human, but occasionally will explore others that might find their way to being around Ethan.
Kisses - Rambunctious and energetic, she always seems to want more. More play, more pets, and definitely more TREATS (which is why she's a bit pudgy). She also tends to get into things she shouldn't, but doesn't let the consequences of that stop her from doing such a thing again.
Perdita - Calm, Gentle and very lady-like, Perdie doesn't like to be dirty but does like attention. She tends to prefer it from males, often going to extra lengths to preen and coo to them...but isn't averse to pets and cuddles from females either.
