• How can I capture additional pokèmon? 
• How many pokèmon can I have on my active team?

How can I capture additional pokèmon?

There are a number of ways one can acquire more pokèmon. 

• In class performance: 
  
  Characters that are seen to preform well and be active in class threads may earn the opportunity to be taken out with an instructor (in character ) into the safari zone. At which time, students will encounter a pokèmon played by staff (determined by staff ahead of time, or via use of random number generator).  The character will than be able to RP out the battle and capture. 
  
  Faculty members that are not staff may, similarly, earn this opportunity by being especially helpful to the instructors and/or forming closer relationships with them. 
  
  
• Standalone Events: (details)
  
  'Choose your own adventure' type activities. Each event will have any information pertaining too restrictions on who can take part in them.  You may have to allow a bit of leeway if your character is faculty (ie the story may be a little more geared towards the students), but if you are not restricted from the event, you may take part in it for your character.   You are not limited by how many times you may do an event -unless - the event itself specifies. 
  
  
• Missions: (details)
  
  Complete tasks and get prizes. Some of these prizes may be a pokèmon, though this is likely to happen at the end of a series of missions, rather than an individual one.   Each mission will specify who may take part in the mission. 
  
  
• Raffles and Other 'Games': 
  
  Typically part of some promotion, or holiday event, sometimes other things, such as raffles, may have pokèmon available as rewards. 
  
  

Things you will likely need to capture pokèmon are. 

• Pokèball - Almost always
  
  You will be informed if you do not need one (usually in cases of some raffles and games).  Otherwise, it's best to assume you will need at least one ball. Cases where you -may - require more (in standalone events is the most likely place you'll see this )  you will have some warning. 
  
  
• Healing Agent - Sometimes 
  
  Many Standalones (and possibly missions) may require the use of one of the available healing agents, such as a healing potion, smelling salts, ect.  There is usually some warning, and in cases of the standalone events 
  
  
• Pokèdollars - Ocassionally
  
  Some Standalones, missions, ect.  may require the use of pokèdollars (beyond the initial purchase).  There will be some warning when there is a possibility of this happening, in the details of the particular event/mission.
