A lot of people, Blaine knew, would be uncomfortable being so openly invited to talk about his past - but honestly he just couldn't see any reason to not want to. Regardless of how some people viewed his former profession, Blaine had always been proud of his accomplishments in show biz, and had very much enjoyed his time in the circuit. Even if the towns that they'd been entertaining in weren't so very welcoming of the people trying to show them a good time.
Still though, he was a bit hesitant. Talking too much about one's self, well that could kind of come across as arrogant, right? There wasn't much hope for it anyway though as really, Chris /had/ opened the door. But that didn't mean he had to just stand around while he did it. So, without further adieu, Blaine went about the task of stacking the rest of the rocks - and chose to talk while they worked. " Well, we travelled a lot. And most of the time it was just necessary to live this way. Not that we minded or anything. Actually, I'm pretty sure we all preferred it." He paused to crack a somewhat rueful grin. "Even if we didn't much care for the fact that the reason we started living that way was simply to avoid trouble from townspeople who didn't care for our 'kind'."
He stood up again, once again surveying his now finished work critically - head tilted a bit to the side as he checked for any flaws that could be dangerous in such a thing as a fire pit. All the rocks seemed to be solidly in place, which was good as that meant that the fire could be properly contained with little chance of any errant flames doing unnecessary damage to other parts of the surrounding area. He nodded once, the action satisfied, and then started to go about the process of building the fire that would keep them warm. "What about you? I understand you did quite a bit of this yourself, yes?" He asked, unable to keep the curiosity out of his voice as, really, Blaine /was/ curious about the other.
Loki listened to the humans chatter for a bit, Nitro's sharp tones enough to almost have the vulpix whincing and wishing he'd never even mentioned the stupid honey. It wasn't like he didn't know that Nitro disliked Blaine, he did and in fact had tried to be nice and make it so the other pokemon wouldn't have to do something for him. And because of it, now he was being made to feel foolish - even if that wasn't Nitro's intent. His head ducked momentarily, ears folding back...and of all things it seemed like he was going to do something else that was likely foolish and apologize for trying to make it easy on the jolteon. But then the other's tones softened, and made the little vulpix smile all of those strangely awkward thoughts flittering away easily enough - as if any negativity could last in the boisterous little pokemon.
"Well then. I guess I'll just have to come up with some sort of reward for your gallantry..." He murmured coyly before, moving back in close - offering the jolteon a lick up beneath his chin before turning to head off in the direction of where he remember the honey had been. Of course in turning, a few of Loki's tails likely brushed in against the other's face...and of course that might have been the very reason for such a close shifting of directions. He would wait at the edge of the tree line though, not wanting his Nitro to be too far away from him, and when he did catch up - he'd offer a few more nips and licks and then begin to make his way in among the brush to lead the other to the honey, as dry work made sense to be done first. Fishing could be done after.
