Working overnights could be rough. It tended to be quiet, as most scheduled appointments and checkups would, of course, be during the day. Students weren't likely to come in for anything, and if they did it was more likely to be either an emergency, or a perceived emergency. Taking the time to wipe down the front desk, the German nurse couldn't help but smile just a bit as Funkeln lowered herself onto all fours to creep in under a chair in the waiting area. The Audino was doing her part, but retrieving a piece of paper that had slipped under it. Funkeln was typically the only pokèmon he would regularly bring with him for his shifts at the center. Her species was well known to be useful in medical settings, due to their sensitivity to life forces, and the health of various systems in patient's bodies.
As the Audino waddled her way to the recycling bin to drop the paper in, with a pleased little squeak, another, more energized noise sounded right in Fritz's ear. The loud (due to proximity) chattering of Immelmann spoke of wonderful adventures, and curious things to explore. The twitching nose of the Emolga, nearling ended up in Fritz's ear, before the little flying squirrel pokèmon leapt from his shoulder, gliding to a chair across the room, before looking over everything from his new perch. Immelmann was a less frequent visitor to the center, himself, and Morgentau sometimes came along when he'd have overnights, to keep him company. In fairness though, it really was only the Emolga that really cared about coming overnight. Morgentau, a Sunkern, would have mostly slept, and while he did love Baron and Orville, neither of them cared to be awake overnight.
"Maybe someone will stop by tonight", he offers happily, to the pair. With a pleasant air, he considered doing rounds on any of the overnight patients a bit early. It wasn't like it'd be terrible if he ended up checking vitals an extra time over the course of the evening.
