PERSONALITY
Usually kind, caring, understanding, non-judgmental, boisterous, loud, and rough around the edges.
Can be tempestuous at times. She has a long fuse, but is increasingly volatile the shorter that fuse gets.
While inherently kind to all and accepting of everyone, Meredith is very aggressive in the way that she approaches any situation. She wont think twice about using force when she deems it necessary. If it weren't for her long fuse, the issue of her aggression would have immediately taken away her chances of being a professor at the academy.
HISTORY
(I made it myself!!! All of the excite for Fjord and Meredith's first meeting!)
The summer after she turned 20, Meredith joined the police force, deciding that making a career out of breaking her bones for the entertainment of others didn't give her life much meaning. This was where she met Racht as a small, helpless pup of 8 weeks. He was given to her by a breeder of police growlithe, effectively making Meredith the youngest growlithe trainer in the force at the time.After a few years on the force, Meredith got an assignment that would mark her as a legend. She was to infiltrate a notorious gang and bring down their leader however she felt necessary. Upon breaking through to the higher ranks of the gang, Meredith, then 27, finally got to meet the boss. What she didn't expect to see was a beaten and malnourished luxray chained to the desk, lashing out in fear of everyone who came too close. Seeing the normally proud and independent pokemon being treated that way pulled at Meredith's heartstrings and she vowed to herself that she would save the creature. Within a year, she was having brunch with the boss and his wife, but this meant that she was seeing the beast more and more often, her heart breaking for him. When she finally got the evidence that she needed to bring down the gang leader, she immediately took the information to her supervisors under guise of being arrested. She made sure to get an order put in that the luxray not be harmed and, when all was said and done, she took him in and nursed him back to health.
When the assignment was over, Meredith declined an offer for promotion and left the force, but she did take the offer of a fire stone, which was only offered to those growlithe trainers with spectacular service records. She took Fjord, Racht, and the rescued luxray with her to live in the country again, taking in any abused or abandoned pokemon that were fortunate enough to be brought to her attention.
Now, after living alone for four years and accumulating her menagerie of misfit pokemon, Meredith has chosen to take a friend up on an open offer that's been standing since before she'd quit the force. George Farley was the battle tactics professor and an ex-officer. As his retirement drew near, he kept contact with her and every so often reminded her of the standing offer. Only recently has she given it serious thought and, after months of debating with herself, has decided to take the job.

Other than his eyes, which are a soft blue rather than the usual fiery amber, his coloring is that of a normal arcanine. In his days on the force, Meredith clipped his fur short for ease of care. Nowadays, it's left long, the time it takes to groom being his "special" time with his trainer and partner.

Stoic and serious, Racht is not one for idle chatter or shenanigans. He would much rather keep to his trainer's side, silent and always present. He has been affectionately nicknamed "Ghost" by Meredith's friends and family because of his quiet, yet ever present ways, always there but not always known. He is the "alpha" of Meredith's team, keeping the others under control when need be and always aware of what they are doing.

Alev is rather large for a luxray, standing almost 5 feet tall at the shoulders and weighing in at a lean 140 lbs. Other than this odd largeness, he is like all other luxray in terms of his appearance. Being up there in age, the fur at his mouth, eyes, and ears has grayed to show off his senior status. He walks with a small limp in his back left leg due to arthritis being kept in check with medication that sometimes causes him to get sleepier than usual.

Lasair has a "kick ass now, ask questions later" attitude, preferring action over talk any day. He can be rather stubborn, but will listen to reason and/or brute force, which is usually doled out by Racht. When not dealing with things that agitate him or threaten his family, Lasair is a clown, performing feats of aerial skill, for any and all who will watch, while using the flammable oils under his wings to make it a truly spectacular show.

Unlike most canine pokemon, she isn't protective in the least, preferring to make friends rather than enemies. She also does not jump to conclusions about those that she deems "odd" or even suspicious.

Wraith is an older pokemon, having been in a family for almost 50 years before being passed on to a young man who wasn't as gentle and caring as the rest of his family. The gengar was treated horribly in her senior years and needed someone to care for her the way that she needed, so Meredith stepped in and took her by force from the young trainer. Most would assume that as a ghost type, she would be mischievous and playful, but in truth, this girl just wants to be left alone. Cantankerous in her old age, Wraith can often be found moping or shaking her tiny little fists at others in a way that most would associate with elderly humans.

Standing almost 6' at the top of his shoulders and weighing around a ton, he is a virtual tank, simply mowing over anything in his way. Because of his size and the possibility of him charging, he is not often in the school and stays with the schools other "farmed" pokemon instead, mingling with those owned by Meredith.
